Latour acquires companies that manufacture and service saw blades for sawmills and others.

Investment AB Latour, through the LSAB Group AB, has acquired SCS Westlings Industri AB in Vansbro from Habeo AB. LSAB is part of the business area Latour Industries.

LSAB's headquarters are situated in Långshyttan. LSAB has more than 250 employees and annual net sales of SEK 360 million. The company manufactures and sells tools for working with wood and metal on the Nordic market, the Baltic countries and Russia.

The acquisition will strengthen LSAB's offers to sawmills, in part by being closer to customers in western Sweden, and in part through additional manufacturing capacity and expertise. Westlings currently produce sits own large saw blades, a function LSAB previously lacked, and provides a number of sawmills with service and regrinding. The company has 30 employees and annual net sales of SEK 45 million. LSAB plans to expand production in Vansbro where it will create a center for sawmill blades for the Group.

"These companies have worked on the same market as both competitors and colleagues for several years, and it seems like a natural next step to become part of LSAB's future now," says Börje Vikström, CEO and one of the owners of Westlings.
